Some of our Ministries
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawls are like hugs from God during sickness, as a comfort after a loss, in times of stress, or during bereavement. They are a tangible example of God’s love and care. The shawl is made of soft yarn so the recipient can wrap up in it and feel God’s arms around him or her. Made with prayer, the maker of the shawl prays before, during, and after they work on the shawl. Sometimes we know who we are making the shawl for, and sometimes we don’t, but we pray for the person who receives it just the same.
Aspen Ridge Lodge Ministry
Join the residents at Aspen Ridge Lodge the first Friday of each month at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation. Located at: 1100 20 Avenue, Didsbury, AB, TOM OWO.
UCW: A group of women gather the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:00am at the church for prayer, discussion, and to offer service to our congregation and the community. This group also oversees the clothing Thrift Store in town.
Clothing Thrift Store: Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and is always replenishing the shelves with new items. Volunteers are needed and profits raised support agencies and groups in town, and wider missions projects. A scholarship is also given to a graduating Didsbury student.
The Thrift Store is located at: 2024- 17th Avenue, Didsbury Plaza, Didsbury. Telephone: 403-518-2000.
